2018 Area Ordeals

Ordeals will again be held and run within respective Areas this year. However, unlike last year, the Area Ordeals will be held on various dates throughout the year to better fit you and your schedule.

All Ordeals will cost $55 for Ordeal candidates, $50 for Brotherhood candidates and $30 for staff members.

If you cannot make it to any of these Ordeals, you also have the Lodge Ordeal as an option. This will be held from September 14-16 at Camp Belzer. Click here to register for the Lodge Ordeal. Also, please click on the name of the Area’s Vice Chief to email them if you have any questions about an Ordeal.

  • 2018 NOAC

The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is the premier event of the Order of the Arrow, and is Scouting’s 2nd largest national event. In 2018, Arrowmen from across our nation will gather from July 30 to August 4 at Indiana University.

Attendees will enjoy numerous classes, games, competitions, and exhibits with the latest camping and outdoor equipment. There will also be a trading post and patch trading. Unlike the National Jamboree, they will stay in the dorm rooms and eat in the cafeterias while at the event.

If you were interested in joining the Lodge’s NOAC contingent but were unable to go, you may consider joining the NOAC@Home experience. For more information, visit https://oa-bsa.org/article/be-noac-delegate-anywhere-world.

  • Dairy Barn Fundraiser

Each year the Lodge volunteers to work at the Dairy Barn during the Indiana State Fair to help raise money for various scholarships throughout the year.

There are 2 shifts available; the 1st shift is from 9:00AM to 3:30PM and the 2nd shift is from 3:30PM to 10:00PM. You can register to work the 1st shift, 2nd shift or both! There are several positions you can volunteer to work during those shifts. Regardless of the shift, please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your shift. There are also some perks to volunteering, such as breakfast sandwichs for those who work the morning shift and, during breaks, you can eat all the food you want that is served at the Dairy Barn.

So what are you waiting for? Help the Lodge by registering to volunteer today.
